Advocacy Values Consulting Announces
A New Instrument to Measure Human Values
LifeTour helps individuals, couples and families identify and measure their values and provides them with a foundation for personal growth, mate selection, and relationship development.
November 24, 1997 Advocacy Values Consulting (AVC) today announced the launch of LifeTour, the first instrument of its kind that identifies and measures the values of individuals, couples, and families. Political leaders and social observers often talk about family values, and LifeTour is now available to identify and measure what these values are.
LifeTour is a methodology that helps individuals, couples, and families gain insight and understanding of their values. LifeTour consists of a survey and a series of customized self-help profiles and workbooks that measure a persons conscious and subconscious values. "LifeTour provides a person with a deeper level of information of their personal meaning and values which facilitates self-discovery and how they can be fulfilled as a human being," says Dr. Kroening, President of AVC. "The knowledge gained through LifeTour is used for personal growth, mate selection, and relationship development."
Unlike most personal surveys that compare the likes/dislikes and behaviors of individuals and couples, LifeTour is based on the results of over 28 years of research in human development and values, and six years of validity studies. "Values are the basis of the remembered incidents that we live by, and become ideals that shape and give significance to our lives," says Dr. Kroening. "They reflect the priorities we choose, the decisions we make, and the actions we take. In fact, values underpin everything we are, everything we do, and everything we want to be throughout our lifes journey."
LifeTour enables individuals to get in touch with their life meaning and how they relate to others, and it serves as a foundation in developing a life plan including selecting a mate. It helps us answers life questions like:
